Given the prominent role played by policy and law in the health of all Americans, the aim of this book is to help readers understand the broad context of health policy and law, the essential policy and legal issues impacting and flowing out of the health care and public health systems, and the way health policies and laws are formulated.

Features: Chapters are structured to allow for the teaching of policy and law in tandem or separately. Includes a chapter on analytic skills for public health students, including how to write a policy analysis. Each chapter includes discussion questions to engage student reflection. The book is self explanatory and well detailed. All relevant information were found in each chapter. It is a very good source of reference.
This text has updated information and is easy to read. The chapters are well organized. I used this text for a health law course in grad school.
I am happy with this purchase although, I expected it to be in the “mint condition” stated in description when I purchased it.
The book is in good condition all in all, just not in the ‘mint condition’ described by seller. It has all the pages, has underlining
but it is in good shape. Happy!
I had to buy this book for a class as well. I admit I learned more about health policy from this book than I did from the course or the professor.
