More than ever, the new edition of Gray’s Psychology helps students understand the basic interactions between behavioral and biological science. Experience teacher and author…Cutting-edge researcher on the topic of evolutionary play…Psychology Today blogger…This combination makes Peter Gray the ideal author for a challenging yet accessible introduction to the fundamental questions explored by psychology researchers.
This book is really in-depth, even beyond what my teacher had planned to teach. We were the honors Psychology 100 course and it really fit the bill for our class. Also, there’s little questions throughout the section that keep you on topic…. It’s a great book.
Best textbook I’ve ever used. Clear, fascinating and one of those textbook author’s whose personal opinions shine through in a really positive way. First psychology course, and I’d recommend to anyone interested in psychology.
The textbook is written in a friendly, colloquial, first-person style that sounds like Gray is just chatting with you and makes psychology very accessible. I will never get the hang of figuring out when it’s okay to use an older edition and when to use the newest edition. It’s not the content’s fault, but it is an annoying feature of most textbooks.
